There's this nice program here called "Fortune Teller". http://www.hotud.org/component/content/article/47-education/24249 You do not need to understand astrological charts to have fun with it. I remember it to be the center of attention in the parties that I gave a decade ago  ;D  Really interesting.

Unfortunately, it can only "predict" till year 1999. It will just not accept anything from year 2K onwards. Found no updates or sequel.

Am now wondering if some of the members here know of a program that pretty much does the same, or has the same simple interface.

Will eagerly wait for your replies.

Thanks!  :)

JunB

P.S. I still cannot believe that someone would have the energy to collect all the oldies and put them in one site. Nostalgic really! Thanks to the people behind this. More power to you.  ;)

Just start entering values for 1909 and pretend they're 2009.  The results will have the same accuracy and entertainment value. ;)

Thank you so much Jorpho for the very quick reply  ;)

I tried entering 1909 as substitute for 2009 but got the error message "Fortune Teller can predict only your future...so, you can't set a time in the past."  Isnt it just amusing?  ;D

The program uses our birthday, time and place of birth as reference for the Vedic astrology calculation.  Anyway, will keep my fingers crossed. Maybe theres a newer program out there that we havent discovered.

Have a good weekend sir  :)

You can use one of those many temporary-clock-adjuster utilities to set your clock back to some date prior to 1909 and do it that way.

My mom works with an actual Wiccan/New Age spiritualist lady and one year they had a Halloween party and asked my mom to dress up like a Gypsy and read people's fortunes...just as a gag mind you. My mom does not believe in or know much about such practices so she was just hamming it up and telling people whatever popped in her head.
Then this lady...the Wiccan, comes over to her little area...furious, and starts lecturing her about how offensive and wrong her readings are. She did not talk to my mom for over a year after that but now they are friends.

The irony was that while my mom was doing her joke readings at the party, the witch lady was giving her allegedly 'real' readings and taking things quite seriously. A ton of people came up to my mom afterwards to tell her that her readings were at least as accurate as the witch's.
