not a big fan of QFGIII, in fact I don't think I've ever beaten it.  I plan to play through it eventually though, cause I do want to play IV again and I'd like to keep the same character

Right now, working my way through The Moment of Silence.  Not bad so far.

Hearts Of Iron III has proven to be in dire need of some patches, so I'm playing HoI II. first class world wide strategy and I like the Armageddon addon.  ;D

I'm a bit over halfway through Baldur's Gate, after a year since I last restarted. I won't restart again this time.

I'm also working to outfit my troll shaman in epic gear, now that it's easy to do.

Vanilla BG, or trying it with the BG2 engine (via BGTUTU or BGtrilogy)?

If it is the former, you should give the latter a try one day.

It's the latter, with BGTUTU. After playing Icewind Dale, I could not go back to playing in BG's interface.

I imagine. What mods are you using?

Just the basic "use BG2's engine". My major gripes are the resolution and the lack of quest tracking. This solves the former and almost solves the latter.
I'm also reading a walkthrough, and that helps with the quests.

Acht, can't stop playing The World Ends With You!  It's the most dangerously addictive thing I've seen since Torment.

There's constantly new little wrinkles popping up whenever you start getting bored.  And they threw in so much stuff towards the end!  The developers could have drawn out the game much longer if they'd wanted to, I'm sure.

Planning to get that eventually. I've read it is possibly the best thing on the DS.

Nomura's beltanzipper fetish actually works well in the cahracter designs/setting there.
Also, it probably fits in well with Devil Survivor.

At $45 CDN, TWEWY was one of the most expensive games I purchased in a long time last year, because it was rather uncommon when it first came out and I thought I should jump on it as soon as I saw it.  Now that I finally got around to playing it, it is on Amazon for $20 USD.

And now I think I'm about to do the same thing with Devil Survivor. Sigh.

I've been playing a lot of PS3 stuff. The Motorstorm games are a lot of fun, and I was pleasantly surprised by Ghostbusters, though it could be longer. Mirror's Edge honest to god gave me motion sickness. Bioshock of course, and Fallout 3 when the price drops. I'm going to take a crack at Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection next. It's been a long time since I've played Sonic or Ecco on the big screen.

I've been looking for a current-gen arcade racing game that replicates the feel of the old 3DO/PSX Need for Speed: point to point supercar racing, with traffic and scenic backgrounds. Any suggestions as to what would fit that criteria?

I think that the closest thing that matches it is the Burnout Series. Burnout Paradise is more similar to NFS, but the older ones have play modes that are a lot of fun which are gone in Paradise.
