The Doom of PlattformersThis Game is in my opinion truly revolutionary. The Idea is great, walk around with the keyboard, and shoot with your mouse. If you are a fan of contra, or metal slug then this game is for you. It is obviously inspired by aliens vs predator (The main character is pretty much a predator fighting off aliens in a dark spaceship-like dungeon) altough the the story is different for copyright reasons. It is a challenging platformer full with enemies, puzzles and traps. The graphics are great, fluid and responsive controls, chilling sound and very replayable. Especially with the level editor and multiplayer. This game has influenced the genre for years after. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful

Real Crap! This game starts promising. The intro tells an interesting (yet typical) fantasy story about a besieged city, a demon army and about betraial. It looks good enough to get you interested. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful

Cyberpunk gemThere are few Sci fi CRPGs and even fewer cyberpunk ones. This one is great combining cyberpunk and gothic genres (okay its a Adventure/RPG but you get my point). The world and NPCs are cool and the option to make youre team is great too. I love how you have to drink blood, but might accidently kill an important npcs. Yes I do agree with the fellow reviewers the fights are hard and at times frustrating, and the puzzles are not always clear. But older games tend to be harder, because gamers back then wanted a challenge. I recomend, use a walkthrough, try different team constelations. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful

Zelda meets DraculaReally cool game where its good to be bad. Be a vampire and slay tons of foes with sword, mace or axes and drink theyre blood. Be a wolf, bat, mist or look like the townsfolk. Blast youre way with different destructive spells. And a cool Gothic Fantasy story too. What more do you want? 0 of 2 people found the following review helpful

An Awesome Gaming ExperienceThis game is one of my favorite games of all times. And for good reason so. In the vain of "Ultima Underworld" series, or the "Elder Scrolls" series, invites you the game to explore a very unique fantasy world. One which was driven underground, where elves dont exist (the snake women dont count, they are more like nagas, but yeah the closest thing) and where you dont who you are. The game beginnst (of course where else?) in a Jail. You dont know who you and start youre adventure. The fighting is great and gory! The quests are intriguing and can be solved in multiple ways (including the main quest) and the magic is great. I love how you have to write the runes out to learn spells! Its quite challenging in a fight, but thats what makes it fun. I also love how you have to make the magic sword to kill the evil main demongod, insead of finding it, or pulling it out from a stone. There are many more things to add but why dont you just find out yourself? It might not be as long as morrowind but thats not always a bad thing. 6 of 9 people found the following review helpful

Throw black magic skulls at your opponent!A nice rpg indeed. I like the magic spells (like the magic skull I mentioned in the title) and I like how the inventory lets you stack stuff over each other. Fighting is fun and nice and gory. Overall the game has somewhat of a "Heavy Metal"-feeling, which is a good thing. The dungeons and traps do get repetitive, and you do need alot of potions if you want to beat this game. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful

Nice little Diablo-CloneThis game is an okay Diablo-clone what does what it does well. It has nice graphics, and an okay plot, and the fights are okay too. It is sometimes anoying to navigate your hero through the sometimes very narrow tunnels, but thats okay. I would have wished more vareity in the weapons and monsters, but on the other hand I like the dark design of the dungeon. 3 of 7 people found the following review helpful

Not a bad game!Amulets and Armor is a FPS action RPG like Stonekeep or Elder Scrolls Arena. The problems with it being developed for too long, it missed its chance. But it isnt a bad game. You can choose through various character types on the beginning and get quests in a tavern (where else?), which is solved through dialog boxes. Once you are on youre quest you can roam the wilderness and go find glory adventure, and all that stuff. The controls are solid, fights work well, and the game is well balanced. This game is for beginners nice too. The space where you can travel is limited tough (in comparison too, lets say Elder Scrolls: Arena which a couple of years older), and you cant see well from the huge pixels where you need to find that blasted switch. But one thing it has what Arena, Stonekeep and Ultima Underworld didnt have: Multiplayer! A feature, which was promised in the horrible Descent to Undermountain, now made possible. I havent had the luck to try it out yet, but I will, and Im sure there were people roaming together around and smashing elven-skulls left and right. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful
