This Game is in my opinion truly revolutionary. The Idea is great, walk around with the keyboard, and shoot with your mouse. If you are a fan of contra, or metal slug then this game is for you. It is obviously inspired by aliens vs predator (The main character is pretty much a predator fighting off aliens in a dark spaceship-like dungeon) altough the the story is different for copyright reasons. It is a challenging platformer full with enemies, puzzles and traps. The graphics are great, fluid and responsive controls, chilling sound and very replayable. Especially with the level editor and multiplayer. This game has influenced the genre for years after.

This game starts promising. The intro tells an interesting (yet typical) fantasy story about a besieged city, a demon army and about betraial. It looks good enough to get you interested.
Then you start the game in a tavern and walk, talk, recrout, train and VERY rairly fight. The city becomes repetitive and boring fast. The npcs are bland, and soon you will know the standard awnsers soon.
The problem with this game is that, you will need alot of patince to solve the first quest of the game:"get out of the city. Even with a walkthrough it seem to take forever, and finding specific buildings was also a royal pain because buildings look all the same.
Also the walkthrough suggest you do alot of training before you go attempt to go out and adventure. Which will cost you alota gold. It doesnt help that the fighting system in this game is crappy and doesnt make sence.

This game is really broken and seems not be beta tested. Do not be fooled by the packadge, kids! This game is utter crap!

There are few Sci fi CRPGs and even fewer cyberpunk ones. This one is great combining cyberpunk and gothic genres (okay its a Adventure/RPG but you get my point). The world and NPCs are cool and the option to make youre team is great too. I love how you have to drink blood, but might accidently kill an important npcs. Yes I do agree with the fellow reviewers the fights are hard and at times frustrating, and the puzzles are not always clear. But older games tend to be harder, because gamers back then wanted a challenge. I recomend, use a walkthrough, try different team constelations.

This game is definetly not for everyone, but for old cyberpunk and vampire fans like me its a must have title.

Really cool game where its good to be bad. Be a vampire and slay tons of foes with sword, mace or axes and drink theyre blood. Be a wolf, bat, mist or look like the townsfolk. Blast youre way with different destructive spells. And a cool Gothic Fantasy story too. What more do you want?

This game is one of my favorite games of all times. And for good reason so. In the vain of "Ultima Underworld" series, or the "Elder Scrolls" series, invites you the game to explore a very unique fantasy world. One which was driven underground, where elves dont exist (the snake women dont count, they are more like nagas, but yeah the closest thing) and where you dont who you are. The game beginnst (of course where else?) in a Jail. You dont know who you and start youre adventure. The fighting is great and gory! The quests are intriguing and can be solved in multiple ways (including the main quest) and the magic is great. I love how you have to write the runes out to learn spells! Its quite challenging in a fight, but thats what makes it fun. I also love how you have to make the magic sword to kill the evil main demongod, insead of finding it, or pulling it out from a stone. There are many more things to add but why dont you just find out yourself? It might not be as long as morrowind but thats not always a bad thing.

Anyway try this game if you like fantasy or RPGs you wont regret it!

A nice rpg indeed. I like the magic spells (like the magic skull I mentioned in the title) and I like how the inventory lets you stack stuff over each other. Fighting is fun and nice and gory. Overall the game has somewhat of a "Heavy Metal"-feeling, which is a good thing. The dungeons and traps do get repetitive, and you do need alot of potions if you want to beat this game.

All in all, its a good solid rpg game reminiscent of "eye of the Beholder" or "Dungeon Master".

This game is an okay Diablo-clone what does what it does well. It has nice graphics, and an okay plot, and the fights are okay too. It is sometimes anoying to navigate your hero through the sometimes very narrow tunnels, but thats okay. I would have wished more vareity in the weapons and monsters, but on the other hand I like the dark design of the dungeon.

All in all a good Hack and Shlash game, but not a great one.

This game is great. Ive played it through a couple of years ago.
The story is something unique: You start on a space ship (This alone made it unique in those times since sci-fi RPGs are rare, and good ones even rarer) then crashland on a weird planet where magic and a strange alien cat race exists. The game plays from then on like a Fantasy RPG but with a very unique feel, races and monsters. The different camera angles are used where they are best suited, and the graphics are detailed and colorfull. The controls are great, and so is sound and music.
The combat system is good, altough the very first fights are harder, but once you have the cat guy with you they get easier. Its really worth playing this game because of the story, but fights, puzzles, and npc interaction are great too.
Altough you cant make youre own characters, you will get great characters with interesting personalities, and you can see how they evolve in the game. The ending of the game is truly epic and will make you want more. The game has to this day a very devoted fan base, who play forum-rpgs based on the world of Albion, which says alot about this games greatness.

If you are sick of killing orcs and skeletons in murky dungeons, and want to spice up youre fantasy rpg with a little sci fi, go ahead, download it and play it NOW!

Amulets and Armor is a FPS action RPG like Stonekeep or Elder Scrolls Arena. The problems with it being developed for too long, it missed its chance. But it isnt a bad game. You can choose through various character types on the beginning and get quests in a tavern (where else?), which is solved through dialog boxes. Once you are on youre quest you can roam the wilderness and go find glory adventure, and all that stuff. The controls are solid, fights work well, and the game is well balanced. This game is for beginners nice too. The space where you can travel is limited tough (in comparison too, lets say Elder Scrolls: Arena which a couple of years older), and you cant see well from the huge pixels where you need to find that blasted switch. But one thing it has what Arena, Stonekeep and Ultima Underworld didnt have: Multiplayer! A feature, which was promised in the horrible Descent to Undermountain, now made possible. I havent had the luck to try it out yet, but I will, and Im sure there were people roaming together around and smashing elven-skulls left and right.

All in all a nice game, but honestly we had that already and better, but I will play it definitely again, because it plays well. And if you are into this type of game, go ahead and try it out.

I had this game back in the day on CD and played it on my old Windows 95 PC. I enjoyed it alot.
If you are a fan of Arabian Nights and the old Ray Harryhausen Sinbad Movies you will definitely enjoy this. It has Genies, Scimitars, Princesses, Monsters, and Heroes in Turbans, Magic and even an evil Vizier. It’s a simple RPG in the game stile like the Zelda-esque Action-Adventures, and has a great story, great action and great dialogue.
The Dungeons and Quests are Challenging, but not too challenging, and the game never gets frustrating. Sound and graphics are excellent and give a great atmosphere. I recommend it to anyone who likes this genre.
