Dragon WarsI loved this game! lots of brutal fights, and if you lose a fight before you escape, you keep the xp from all but the lost fight and start over automatically in the prison town. The ending is hard, frustrating, but very satisfying when you finally win. There is also a save character function that lets you start a new game with a character from a saved game, allowing you to retry a character stuck without a clue or too weak to continue. This one rocks, highly recommended. 3 of 5 people found the following review helpful

Forgotten Realms Gold Box seriesThis is the second in the series, after Pool of Radiance. Very hard and fun AD&D based RPG, which uses the actual AD&D xp rules, meaning alot of restarts at low levels, and long periods without going up in levels. The unabashed difficulty is one of my favorite parts of the game, along with the monsters actually dropping everything they needed for the fight(each goblin, for instance, carries leather armor and a short sword). It is this strict adherence to the rules that make this such a great game for those of us who were playing AD&D on the weekends and the gold box games on the weekdays. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful

Darkstone PS1 versionMy brother and I played this for years, trying to out-do each others characters. It is very reminiscent of Diablo 1, but the graphics are somewhat lower quality on the playstation version. The PC version of Diablo 1 has worse graphics than this though. It is still a lot of fun, with many weapon and spell choices, as well as male and female characters of each class and multiple difficulty levels give it some replay value. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

Historicaly accurate RPG with 3d fightsI played this game years ago and loved it, although I never actually beat the end boss. I couldn't find their location after playing for months so I just gave up. Lots of fun, lots of choices in town with good fight scenes, loved searching for thieves and bandits and doing them in, a good romp and solid choice, just remember to keep several saved games in case you need to backtrack. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful
