I dust my old Jagged Alliance disc off every couple of years and replay the game. For its time, the game was nothing short of revolutionary, combining strategic and tactical gameplay with roleplaying elements and characters with vivid personalities. The replayability factor is through the roof, as playing through with different mercs leads to a different experience.

A couple of things should be noted here. First of all, as they said, this is a CD-rip version with no voices. That's problematic, as you're missing half the charm of the game with no sound. If you can locate the full version, do so. They've already mentioned it, but it really can't be stressed enough.

Secondly, Jagged Alliance (and its successor, for that matter) is one of the most challenging games you will ever encounter. Your first time through, you're probably going to end up with dead mercs right and left. You can't just go charging in here. The more careful you are, the healthier you'll find your team. Frankly, the challenge of the series is the reason why all of the Jagged Alliance games are currently on my computer in 2009, 15 years after the first game came out. If you're looking for a challenge, look no further.
