Summary

One of MicroProse's most overlooked flight sim, Harrier Jump Jet is a very detailed flight simulator of the RAF's Harrier GR7 and the US Marine Corps' AV-8B using a - for its time - very innovative gouraud shading technology to create more realistic looking objects and landscapes. The result looks quite nice, not realistic by todays standards, but much better than what one was used to. Developed by the UK division of MicroProse, Harrier Jump Jet is a great addition to the company's long list of classic flight-sims. With excellent graphics, flight dynamics, and campaign options, Harrier Jump Jet is highly recommended to all armchair pilots, and especially to fans of Digital Integration's Tornado. It may not be as realistic as Simis' Super-VGA Harrier, but it's hell of a lot of fun to fly. Two thumbs up!
