angelx Posts: 1	Spud + D-Fend reloaded So I downloaded Spud here: http://www.hotud.org/component/content/ … ture/24084 And I'd like to know how to install it using D-fend reloaded. here: http://dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net/ (I'm running the latest version) - I tried unzipping (and the RAR inside) it and dragging across various files SLAOV.EXESETSOUND.EXE DOS4GW.EXE START.BAT - I tried dragging the zip into D-fend reloaded - D-fend doesn't support RAR so I didn't bother with that. All of this resulted in a screen flashing up, showing black screen with a blue box (like before lots of DOS games then a black screen flashes up for like a millisecond (nothing on it) and vanishes like nothing happened. I played this game about a year ago using regular DOSBox and I got it to run but couldn't work out how to go to disc 2. So help running disk two would be ideal as well since I'm mostly trying to play it to get through disc 2 (I had the game as a kid and my mum and I could never beat disc 2 and at the time we didn't know about walkthroughs xD). Thanks in advance.

That's come up here before: http://hotud.org/agora/topic?id=435 I don't use D-Fend Reloaded, but the game works fine in ordinary DOSBox for me: unzip (and unrar) the game c:\whatever\spud, mount c:\whatever as C, and then start the game using START.BAT. Note that the contents of the Zip file is a multipart RAR. That means that you have to manually extract all the files in the Zip file to some directory and then extract the .RAR file. If you're just opening the .RAR by double-clicking it in whatever Zip manager you're using, you won't get all the files. But this is all beside the point. I'm afraid that the download presently available here doesn't actually include the second CD, such that there is in fact no apparent way to continue once you reach the end of the first CD. I've been meaning to do something about it, but as you can see it's been two years since someone last mentioned it.
